Can You Copy + Paste an Ad Schedule in Google Ads?

Posted by 2WheelsAdvertising on April 7, 2023 at 11:08 pm

Did they remove the ability to copy + paste an ad schedule from one campaign to another? The platform as well as the Google Ads editor will not let me do it. Am I missing something?

It’s been there if I recall in editor – Just:

1 – copy the campaign you want to use the schedule of (as if you were going to duplicate it)

2- go to the campaign you want to have the schedule applied to

3 – click the clipboard/paste button next to the scheduling section of the desired campaign on the right hand side

I haven’t done it in quite some time, but that’s how it’s done, if I recall correctly.

I don’t believe you’ve ever been able to copy a schedule between campaigns. Online you can copy/paste campaigns, ad groups, ads, and keywords… that’s it.

In Editor you can paste those items plus any targeting items.

But ad schedules are part of campaign settings. There’s a separate ad schedule tool for that. Unfortunately, I think you’re stuck manually recreating the schedule.

The alternative is to copy the campaign or campaign shell (I think the schedule will be copied in the shell) to a new campaign and then make your other edits there.

    Yes, you can.

Left side menu -> Settings -> Campaign settings.

Then choose the campaign you want to paste it to -> Edit -> Change ad schedule

You set a new schedule or replace it with ad schedule from another campaign
