Recently want to add facebook as a marketing channel besides Google ad. Should I start broad targeting on facebook without any pixel data? What’s the best practice to start on facebook ad?

You surely can, but what’s the end goal? Conversions? Awareness? Clicks?

Yes you should do that, interest targeting is old tech.

You will likely have better results if you have the pixel data and set up campaigns to optimize towards the conversion you want.
If I had a client that was deciding between launching on Facebook today or waiting a week and having the pixel data, I would advise they wait a week and start off with the tracking in place.
Is there a reason you would consider not doing so?
