Can I run my clients ads through my Facebook account?

Posted by MightDizzy4514 on February 12, 2023 at 3:40 am

I have a client due for an on boarding call tomorrow. The only problem is that their Facebook ad account was blocked by Facebook (thanks to an agency they worked with prior). I’ve come across a few solutions but I was wondering if all else fails, could I just have them send me the ad spend to run their ads through MY Facebook account? Thanks

I think so, as long as you have access to their business page and you’re advertising for that company.

Yeah you absolutely can. You just need access to the page/Insta account as an advertiser. And access to relevant data sources.

Your big issue is making sure you don’t get left with a big ad spend debt that your client doesn’t pay you or takes 90 days to pay you.

Holy SH*T, don’t even consider it!

First of all, if your client already has a blocked ad account – that means he has bad history with FB. This is the last thing you want your *personal* account to be involved in.. Especially if you are an agency and run ads for a few clients – this may prevent you from advertising on FB at ALL. Not just for this client, but for all of them.

Secondly, from my experience, the headache of keeping track of payments, on top of using your credit line for a client, isn’t worth it.

Can you? Yes. Should you? Not through your personal no. At the very least Create a business manager for it, but if it gets banned then you will have to deal with it forever basically

    You can, but don’t.
