I just posted a reel tonight, I had a reel that went viral and is still continuing to gain views every hour. Prior to this whenever I posted I had no luck with getting views/engagement it would stop around 300. I decided to post at 10pm instead of the normal window of 2-6pm and it gained 700 views first 24 hours second day it went up to 16k and since then it’s amassed 1 million ( 3 day period). I decided that I’ll start posting around 9-10pm mark as most my audience are young adults & they’re free at this time. So far I’ve only gained 91 views in two hours and this seems quite low… will this pick up momentum in the next few hours?

I know each day is different in terms of what times to post I just figured my best shot was to do it around this time frame, I posted a reel yesterday that’s gained 1k views following same process posting at 10.15pm

Probably not unless you boost it. But if it wasn’t getting many views I’d look at the content being produced first. If it isn’t s something you would want to see naturally you’ll be paying a lot of money for no reason

Only if it was somehow picked up by Facebook or it is likely RIP on IG alone.

I’ve had reels pick up momentum days and even weeks after posting. You really never know.

Although it hasn’t happened to me often, it’s happened a handful of times. You really never know.

Depends on what you did previously and what you are doing currently. It’s a bit complicated to answer. Surely, timing is a good thing that you should consider, however, there are other ways to grow as well. Plus, it can be picked up later as well. One of my reels hit the 100K mark after 37 days. It had 2.5K before and after 37 days, it became 103K. So anything is possible
