Buying an X account ?
I’m looking to create a following on X as a writer and someone offered to sell me an account with over 10k followers. They’re asking 500$.
Worth it or nah?

No. Followers are basically getting a bait and switch. So you’ll end up with mass unfollows and no engagement

The person who commented before me nailed it. I’ll also add that you don’t know how many of the followers on the account you’re purchasing are bots that are just a number in your follower count and won’t engage. Build organically. It won’t be easy though.

nope. x is dying tbh and i agree with the others — the followers are most likely bots. it’s better to grow your audience organically as you’ll get better engagement rates (which should be one of the goals). i also agree that building your audience won’t be easy, but it’s so fulfilling once you get organic follows, engagements, etc!
