Boss doesn’t believe our social ads approach has an effect on the other metrics
Hey all, I need help figuring out if there is something I am missing. I work for a safari lodges and camps company in Africa. 2 years ago the company merged with another and we have been working on the rebrand which we finally launched and went live with beginning of this year. We kept the old IG and FB pages, just rebranded. As part of creating awareness, building our following etc, we ran awareness, engagement and traffic ads in Q1, as well as profile ads. As a result, our Q1 metrics were looking great (reach, engagement, followers). In Q2, we ran lead ads between April and May, no other ads.
When reporting for Q2, there is a drop in the same metrics as mentioned above (reach, engagement and new followers). I think this is normal that there would be quite a drop. But my boss says no, there must be something wrong with these figures.
So, I want to know if the drop is normal. Could I have done something different? Maybe something I can look into in Q3?
