Blogging Strategy in 2023
The company that I’m working for seems to think that checking competitors too performing blog pages in SemRush, copying the keywords into ChatGPT to spit out a blog post, is still the cutting edge of SEO blogging strategy in 2023. It seems to be working for our clients (who are mostly small, Shopify mom n pop stores) , but wondering if this same playbook still works generally?

No. ChatGPT still works, but you have to highly customize it. I describe websites as a book with each page being it’s own chapter. Once you take that approach with a table of contents so to speak then you can flesh it out piece by piece. The idea of just having Ai take a header topic and spit a blog post out doesn’t seem to work very well. Also, take advantage of bard for average keyword traffic and meta titles/descriptions. We’ve had crazy success with our clients doing that.
