  Best ways to structure a Glossary section and pages?

  I’m an SEO newb but hear me out.

  I’ve observed plenty of top ranking sites that utilizes Glossaries as a way to boost content.

  1. A website with 200k-400k/month traffic like [OCS.ca](https://OCS.ca) (Government of Ontario’s weed marketplace) – they are using dedicated pages for each glossary term.
  2. Search Engine Journal – using an article page as a Glossary (they outrank Semrush’s Glossary)
  3. Semrush – using a dedicated page inside their “Knowledge base” topic section where they alphabetically list each term. (ranks within top3)

  While it sounds like building individual pages for each Glossary term might sound good for Q&A snippet. Are there no standard/best practices when it comes Glossary structure?

  you should do both. some terms require a dedicated page some do not.
