With the way RSAs operate, the easiest way is to use the Ad Variations tool in Google Ads. The setup is super easy and you can test any part of the ad.

Make a creative matrix in google sheets to keep track of everything.

Identify your core concepts that want to test.

Then add specificity modifiers to them.

Like one of your core concepts is a benefit.

    “Get in a rental fast”

That’s too generic. Clarity and specificity > persuasion.

So you can modify that statement with an exact time instead of using superlatives.

“Get a rental in 25 minutes”

After you identify the best performing core concepts then you want to move on iterations through unpinned RSAs.

But depending on your traffic volume, you may want to reduce the number of assets you have in your RSAs or they will get stuck in “learning”.

With super high-volume accounts you can run multiple RSAs with maxed out assets.

Your creative testing should result in learning. If you’re randomly testing shit just to improve the KPIs then you’re doing it wrong.

People who use directional learning in their testing generate about 200% higher revenue than those who have no idea why they’re testing.
