    Hi,

What is a good paid SEO course for a moving company?

The plan is to learn it and start SEO work on my moving company website. Location is LA, so competition is very high. What is the actual budget should I have monthly given that I do everything myself?

I am not sure if there are specific SEO courses for individual business types. I’d recommend looking through the Ahrefs videos and start applying what you can on your business. No course can teach you what you can learn practically by applying your learnings

Straight forward – You probably won’t be able to make it alone.

I have been in Google advertising & SEO for a long time, and Google advertising has a shorter learning period for any results, but SEO requires serious time to move the needle. This is especially true for competitive niches in cities like LA, New York, etc.

If I were you, First of all, I’ll go through the background competitive research, and their marketing strategies. After that I’ll come up with my own strategy, so I’ll buy necessary SEO tools which are going correlate with my strategy, and work towards the goal.

My suggestion would be understand the context and move on, don’t throw money blindly.

I don’t think there’s a ‘course’ in my experience, if there’s is they are all pretty much free online. 90% of if is testing things, that will be competitive so I’d start by looking at Local SEO and more likely PPC to be honest!

Hire a recommended agency if possible. Learn from them as much as you can and gradually wean them off.

If they’re in business and recommended they must be decently good.

Practical experience will give you much more than any paid course

I have been an entrepreneur for many years now. Running a business and doing SEO is a completely different ball game. Focus on operations and physically meeting clients rather than SEO.
I am from Dubai and I had started a business in California and LA a few years back and the only thing which helped me was getting local SEO and main SEO from an agency. Of course I lost a lot of money by hiring the wrong agencies and freelancers but then through reference I got a good one. This changed my business completely and I could sell it after 1 year with good profits.

The annoying part is that there is no one course but rather a combination of courses that can piece it together

I’d partner with an SEO it would be a good investment if they know how to do local SEO.

You need a monthly budget. Look for terms in your actual location like Farmington Malibu etc ..

Just hire a consultant and do the work yourself. Don’t

You don’t need SEO as much as you need sales. I suggest putting your money into a PPC (Facebook/Instagram/YouTube) ad campaign. Look into how wedding photographers sell their services.

The term “best” is subjective and often depends on personal experience. My recommendation would be to start by researching various options and trying out free tools and trials, like Undetectable AI. By experimenting, you can gain firsthand experience and determine which option works best for you. This approach make sure that when you make your choice, it will be well-informed and suited to your specific needs.

For a moving company in a competitive area like LA, I’d say focus on courses that cover local SEO and content strategies—those are key for standing out. I’ve heard some good things about courses on platforms like Moz or Ahrefs; they go in-depth on local SEO, which is what you’d need.

Budget-wise, if you’re doing it all yourself, I’d start with around $200-$500 a month for tools and maybe some ads. Also, while you’re learning, you might want to use a keyword rank tracker to see where your site currently stands and which keywords to target. I’ve been using one called SERPtag, which has been pretty useful in figuring out what I’m ranking for without much fuss.
