Best Match Type for B2B Lead Generation Search Campaign

Posted by jahanzaibkz on October 15, 2023 at 12:00 pm

    Hi Folks,

I am facing stiff challenge using Phrase Match in B2B Lead Generation Search Campaign through Google Ads. The overall search volume of the keywords are low therefore out of 100 times only 4-5 searches are highly relevant to my seed keyword otherwise phrase match show me indirect and vague searches.

What should I do now? Trying Exact Match will limit the overall searches of the campaign.

    Looking forward for some suggestions.

    Thanks

If you need people to search an extra phrase… then start with that and see what happens. You can always expand match types as a test.

I’d recommend splitting your core KWs into two campaigns: one campaign with only phrase match terms and one with only exact match terms. Doing this will allow you to fully serve for the low-volume queries that are valuable to you (exact match) while preventing them from being cannibalized by the broader queries via phrase match, while the phrase match campaign will allow you to extend reach beyond the core set of highly-relevant queries (if your budget permits).
