Best compromise for “one size fits all” social media image posts?
Long story short, I’m developing an app and introduced a share feature that creates a .png card, then calls native social sharing on Android and iPhone. The thing is the image has to be created without knowing where it will be shared.
I know it won’t be perfect, but as a compromise, if you had to suggest just one size that would somewhat work on most platforms, what would it be?
P.S. The obvious solution would be to ask first, offering template options (something like “Optimize for: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, WhatsApp”). I might do something like that in the future if the feature proves popular, but for now it’s just a nice little add-on, so I’m trying to keep things simple.
