Backlink Strategy inquiries
Hello SEOs, how can I start a backlink strategy for a 2-year-old website with no backlinks? Aside from internal link building, what else can I do? Or what factors should I check before proceeding with anything?

Link Building = Authority shaping. It deosnt build external authority – it sends from pages which have earned it to other pages. That is all.
Earning authority is a process entirely on its own not shaped by what you do on page.

When you’re looking at sites you might want to look at getting a link from, these are the 4 metrics I would evaluate:
* Check to see if the page giving you the link is indexed on Google
* Will the link be followed?
* Can you manipulate the anchor text?
* Use the organic pages metric in Ahrefs to see how many pages on that site are currently ranking on Google. The higher, the better. -
I would suggest to look at the links pointing to competitor websites. Often there are opportunities to get links from those sites as well!

What kind of website is it? A local business link profile would look way different than a recipe blog.
