  • Backlink list from SEO team – how to decide?

I received this backlink list from our SEO team, and I was wondering how to decide if they are worth pursuing a guest post.

The information I received was just domain, DR and US traffic, but it seems there should be more that goes into deciding I really don’t see a benefit in guest posting on any Link farms. on guest posts.

    Site DR Traffic US
    glassofbubbly[dot]com 51 2700
    urbansplatter[dot]com 62 13400
    sippycupmom[dot]com 45 1600
    amomentwithfranca[dot]com 37 430
    dreamandtravel[dot]com 31 2200
    intelligentliving[dot]co 65 4300
    chiangraitimes[dot]com 70 1100
    melaniejadedesign[dot]com 52 1200
    elegantwedding[dot]ca 66 2500
    mklibrary[dot]com 45 3500
    uniquenewsonline[dot]com 48 1100
    nerdymamma[dot]com 57 5500
    boorooandtiggertoo[dot]com 36 1300

Really looking forward to reading your thoughts on the best way to analyze domains for guest posting. I really don’t see a benefit in guest posting on any Link farms. Thank you!

If they are an SEO team, why are they not making recommendations on which are the best?

All sites are from different niche so it’s not a good fit.

I would check which of those sites have the most external links, basically which ones are selling links the most, then look at the quality of their incoming links as well. Use something like semrush, or ahrefs or another tool

Sure, metrics like DR and traffic are a good starting point. But I’ve learned the hard way that there’s more to it than just numbers. Quality over quantity is key. I’ve seen too many sites with impressive stats turn out to be nothing but link farms – definitely not where you want to plant your guest post. One thing I’ve found helpful is to dive deeper into each domain. Look beyond the numbers and assess the site’s content quality, relevance to your niche, and overall reputation. It’s about finding the right fit for your brand and audience.Another trick up my sleeve? Using a broken link checker. It’s a sneaky way to gauge a site’s integrity. If there are too many broken links or shady redirects, it’s a red flag waving in your face.
