*Audience Too Narrow* problem
I’m a real estate photographer and I’m trying to target local realtors on Meta Ads Manager. Everything I try comes out with an audience too narrow error, and says it won’t deliver my ads. My potential client base is only 700-800 people. With a portion of them on Facebook/Instagram.
Is there anyway I can target these specific people? Or will it force me to target more people to reach the 1000 person threshold? I don’t want to market to people who aren’t potential clients

You should run awareness ads to begin with (with a broad audience) and then you can take the data from your campaign to create a retargeting campaign. The retargeting campaign can be much more focused than your awareness (ex. only people who have visited your website).
Meta/any ad platform needs a lot of data before it can perform well. Also, this is assuming you’re using a new account.

Couple things,
If you really want to to use FB, then yeah you are just going to need to broaden your audience. You are never going to get a perfect fit of an audience, at least not out of the gate. Don’t be afraid of letting it be more broad, the idea is that the account will optimize over time and your spend will get more efficient. It takes time and data to get to that point. Which requires patience, resources, and experience optimizing.
Presumably you don’t have enough data for this, but look alike audiences might be an option too.
Are you sure FB ads, at this stage, is the right choice? Maybe PPC, cold calling, linkedin sales nav/inmail, or local SEO could be better areas to focus first? FB ads aren’t always the answer and if you have a small budget it might be worth letting the pixel marinade while you continue to collect offline customer and lead lists.
