As a local home improvement company, am I missing any tools to help me win at PPC in my area?

    Hi,

I am a local home improvement company which is currently using Google Ads to get leads. We are doing okay but I know we can do a lot more…that’s why I have decided to learn as much as I can in this area from now into 2023 and on wards.

Am I missing anything from the below list that is a must to learn for my business / Google Ads PPC? Also interested in recommended courses etc too.

    \- Google Ads

    \- Google Analytics

    \- Google Tag Manager

    \- Google Editor

I know there is many other aspects e.g. web design, seo etc however I will be creating separate posts for them in their related subreddits.

If you’re doing display ads, you may want to look into Google Web Designer as well. There are a lot of handy templates and presets to get you started.

You can look at installing Microsoft Clarity. It’s free and a great heat mapping tool. We use it with a lot of our clients.

Don’t spend money on display ads. It is a waste of money for 99% of businesses out there.

Might consider running paid search on Bing as well. Search retargeting display does work well in combination with text ads. semrush account would be beneficial for keyword strategies.

As a real estate brokerage I focus on a lot of kid/parent stuff since area and school districts are important. For home improvement, I would imagine people with kids is a big percent of market, plus they tend to need bigger/remodeled houses as the families grow. You could try a campaign with “parents” or similar interests to compare conversions

Have you considered just hiring someone who specializes in this? For example, my agency specializes in PPC and I just hire someone for my home improvements lol.
Just a thought, glad to see you’re interested in broadening your skillset.

    Google my business.

It isn’t a paid component but it is the single most important tool for a local brick-and-mortar or service business.

    Look into “local SEO” tutorials.
