  • Are your clients/company planning on paying for Twitter Verified Organizations?

Posted by TY4G on March 28, 2023 at 3:56 pm

On the 23rd, Twitter announced they were going to remove legacy check marks. Looks like they’re also planning to charge businesses $1,000 per month to keep gold-verified checks.

That seems bonkers to me. Has anyone’s companies or clients talked about this upcoming change? Is there a way around it or are your companies planning on just going unverified?

No. Our org was already unhappy with Twitter despite a large following, but now we’ve deprioritized it completely and categorizing it as a dead platform.

We already upload original content to Twitter at a loss, which is what keeps the platform alive…we’re just going to cease publishing there all together.

Absolutely not. Twitter is not a priority.
