Yes. Acquire backlinks from high authority websites, not from low pbn types. Get it from Connectively, Qwoted, Sourcebottle etc

Backlinks from comments, 50k links from Fiverr etc is a hard no.
Quality links from media sites, guest posts on good sites etc is a hard yes!
A plan behind a backlink campaign is still required, no point in building links with no real initial backlink audit to find out how you compare against the competition and once that’s done you can create a strategy to compete effectively.

All my websites depend on automation tools like gsa ser,ranker x and now even xrummer 23 AI.
I always wonder if some users saying backlinks don’t need any more or build only backlinks from guest posts or even niche related. I guess many are outsourcing link building and buying packages from Fiverr etc and after failure they scolded to backlinks, automation tools etc.
Tiered link building is mostly work and safest. If the niche is tough and stuck on top 10 then it’s wise to have some high DR backlinks from niche posts otherwise it’s not even needed. All my sites are done by para sites and software using gsa but still use high quality gpt 4 content for all link building. Before AI came I used human written articles with spinners for my projects. Btw it all depends with your niche. Google has RRF their alogos so each depend is unique.

Google has mentioned multiple times that they will not give weightage to backlinks anymore. But if we see the top results on SERP then we can see those websites have tons of links coming from other sites.
Although the content on all those websites is good and high-quality. -
