Anyone with experience running Google Ads for kitchen renovation companies?

Posted by stjduke on December 27, 2022 at 7:43 pm

It’s only been 7 days, but after $300 spend I’ve had 1 conversion (lead form fill). I know it’s Christmas and the weather’s been awful, so it should improve.

Just curious if anybody has experience in this niche. Would love to chat and possibly pay for an audit. My biggest concern is ad group structure + keywords.

What’s wrong with 1 conversion for $300? It’s not ideal but not bad either. How many clicks did you get for that much? What’s your conversion rate?

Kitchen renovations cost thousands so you’ll have to define what CPA is reasonable for you, and calculate the closing rate.

Your keywords and ad structures are likely fine if you followed a guide.

7 days and $300 is nothing. The algorithm needs to learn

Depending on where you are, Kitchen renovation services are EXTREMELY competitive in Google Ads.

Expect avg. CPCs to be around $20-$30. You need a decent budget of at least $10k/month to see value in an industry like this.

Stay away from broad match and use exact match with a ton of negative keywords. If you think $8 cpc is high stay away from these search ads and try on a different platform. Your average job will be worth min 10k and as such will drive a high cpc for relevant traffic don’t cheap out make sure you have a good landing page and great ad copy

I’ve run these ads before. They can get expensive, but there some great ways to increase conversions and you don’t need to spend 10k per month unless you have the capacity to handle that much work.

I have been running kitchen renovations campaign for years but not in the states. The CPA is around 15 usd and used to be lower. The conversion rate is around 2%
