Any help on making an advertising plan for opening day event for a new cafe location would be great.

We are a coffee shop that has 7 lcoations and we’re opening a new cafe in 2 weeks. We’re having an “opening day event” wanting to invest $125/day for 2 days leading up to the event. I’m just wondering if anyone had any tips on making an audience for the ads.

I do know that we’ll be targetting people that live within a certain radius of the opening location, but is that all we need to target?

Do you have information on the people that currently come to your cafe? Like phone numbers or emails? That’s where Facebook’s power really comes in because you can input a list of current customers and it will analyze their likes/dislikes/hobbies/demographics and design a lookalike audience to target based on the info gathered.

The other thing you should probably do is target your primary demographic. That’s why Facebook is so powerful. Even if you don’t have contact info to make a lookalike audience, I’d hope you know what your target audience looks like. You can select all the key interests for that demographic in one ad group, and then build a more generic ad group as well if you want to expand your target audience. Those are just my thoughts regarding maximizing your ad spend. If you just do a generic radius, you may get a lot of views, but they likely won’t be as relevant to the people seeing them.

Spread that budget out over the time frame you have available, instead of trying to “launch and spend” over a 48 hour period.

If you were having a BBQ on Saturday, would you wait until Thursday to tell/invite anyone?
