GuestAugust 29, 2024 at 8:13 amI believe it’s important to listen to both your body and mind. Based on what you’ve described, it sounds like you’re experiencing burnout. In today’s fast-paced world, driven by rapid technological advancements and constant media pressure to do more, it’s crucial to be kind to yourself. Take breaks regularly; everyone needs them. Remember, taking a break isn’t a sign of laziness—it’s a way to show yourself respect. Recharge and then continue.

GuestAugust 29, 2024 at 7:46 pmIt’s an absolutely insane amount of work for $24,000 year! How many hours does this take you? I bet you’re making less than $10 an hour. For reference, in the U.S. that is close to minimum wage and less than what a grocery store cashier or McDonald’s worker would make. Less than half of what many professionals would make straight out of college.
That’s a really high number of posts and platforms for a one-person team, even split over 2 companies. I bet if you reduce your output by half, you wouldn’t see a major downtick in analytics.
If you have the ability to call the shots at all, focus on quality over quantity. Figure out which platforms you *really* need to be on, and reduce from 5 posts a day to 5 posts a week, and maybe 2-3 total reels per week. Tell your employer you’re doing it as a trial run for a month in response to changing platform algorithms, then look at your analytics to see what effect it had. Tell them you have done some research/learning about social media best practices, and found that it is best not to bombard your audience with too much content. Then, now that you’ve realized your worth and established yourself as an experienced social media expert, raise your rates.
