I manage social media for 2 companies owned by one person, I’ll call them A & B. (I have 2 other graphic designers in the social media team working with me)

    • Channels: Instagram, FB Page, FB Group, Twitter, Pinterest, Threads, Telegram
    • 5 static graphics a day (3 for A and 2 for B)
    • 6 reels a week (3 for A and 3 for B)
    • Engaging with customers (replying to and answering their comments)
    • Writing captions and scheduling every piece of content
    • Engaging with influencers and other brands in the same industry
    • Managing content for both companies
    • Brainstorming ideas and delegating graphic briefs to designers through Notion
    • Managing AI support bots for both companies in their communities
    • Hosting giveaways and picking winners
    • Doing competitive research and reaching out to influencers

The content (graphics) is branded, so I can't use generic AI-generated stuff or stock images. For Reels, I keep it simple with motion graphics. (I can use AI for inspirations though)

This is what I'm doing right now. I don't want to disclose too much info (my salary is close to $2K).

I feel like I'm on the edge of burnout, or maybe it's just my mind playing tricks on me.

That sounds like a lot to manage, especially for two companies. It’s no wonder you’re feeling the strain. Make sure to take some time for yourself and set boundaries where you can. Burnout is real, and your well-being should come first!

The fact you have to write this and feel like you are burning out, means you’re actually burning out. I agree with your feelings.

    Yes, that is too much.

I’m an in-house employee, so they’re pretty easy on me. They’ve never gotten mad at me, probably because of the stuff I’ve done, like setting up the AI support bot, creating a whole system in Notion for task management, content management, and a score system to keep me and the 2 graphic designers motivated. Plus, I manage all our content through Figma (we’ve got over 400 static graphics!).

I’m good at creating content and really enjoy this job. I just need to find some time for myself…

You’re doing content for 2 companies and you create 6 reels a week and only make $2k (is that per month?)? One, that’s way too many reels in one week for one thing especially when reach is pathetic with the algorithm right now. Two, you’re doing way too much. Of course you’re getting burnt out. Way too much responsibility for one person to do. Reevaluate your content strategy or else you ask for more.

“Writing captions and scheduling every piece of content.”
Beside the 5 graphics you mentioned, are you creating, captioning and posting other content? If so, how many posts a day?

Lol it’s a 4.5k per client work. You need a bigger team. I’m not surprised you are burnout
