All Languages vs. English for Global Campaign

Posted by seohelper on May 12, 2020 at 8:20 pm

I am seeing if anyone has insight into targeting All Languages vs just English for my Global Campaign for a web service that is only offered in English. I can run an experiment, but wanted to see if anyone had strong feelings one way or another on this. I’ve been putting foreign language queries in my Negative Keyword Lists already.

If you’re targeting English keywords properly there’s no reason to limit your campaign to English. Many users might set up their computer to Spanish, Chinese or whatever and search sth in English. You’d want to target them too.

I’d look at segmenting your language targeting into seperate campaigns. You may see that you have a different performance metrics, average customer value, etc for non-english vs. english users.

If the website is in English, target English only.
