Exploiting the market because a lot of people are desperate for data on their site.
Greed is what destroys most companies. It’s never enough, so they push people until they break—Ahrefs, Google, Boeing, McDonalds, Paypal…

With AI chatbots being able to see and read things on a computer screen. Ahrefs and similar tools are probably going to die very soon. Heck you could probably ask it to take a look at your site and make recommendations based on google policies.

Never used them and always blocked my clients sites from the search crawler at the server level.

So what are the alternatives? I loved Ahrefs but cancelled the subscription after they switched to their current subscription+credits based pricing.
I currently have a Semrush subscription. Alternatives I’ve come across are Mongools and SERanking. I tried both, but haven’t decided which one to switch to.

Ahrefs and SEMRush are tools that you don’t really need to do good SEO. They’re nice to do competitor analysis or backlink auditing, but for 80% of SEOs GSC and Analytics is fine.

That’s a high increase but the question is do you get value from the tool and what are the costs of changing ?

Still a great tool. But i will avoid a further price increase.

Am I the only one here that sees the price of absolutely everything is up by at least 30%? Price of doing business.
