Advertising on Twitter to gain followers is not translating to organic engagement
Our target market seems to hang out on Twitter, so we figured we’ll test the waters. We’ve added about 300 followers via promoted tweets. However, whenever we post something that isn’t promoted (and good content if I don’t say so myself), it gets next to zero engagement.
We’ve run several experiments with the same results. New followers isn’t translating into organic traffic. Is Twitter trying to make us dependent on paid traffic?
Has anyone paid their way to having great organic engagement after their budgets are spent on Twitter?
