    Ad Specialist recommendations

Posted by Ok-Nothing1301 on February 17, 2023 at 10:42 am

My company gave me a budget of 400 euros for the month and i set up a campaign for 12 euro a day till the month end. So a adspecialist called me up yesterday made me increase the budget to 120 a day because he said everyone else is spending so much.

But it since it was activated yesterday we have 160 till now and i havent received a single lead, on 12 euros a day we got 8 leads in a week.

Do i stick with it? I have spent 300 till now i will get 400 from google ads so i’d say a total 500 euros is left. Please help.

Hey there, I wouldn’t suggest taking the advice of Google Reps unless they’re the Accelerated Growth Partners – almost everyone here will tell you the same thing

When regular reps call say “Please put me on your do not call list” and they won’t call you back

Their advice is usually terrible and has nothing to do with your business specifically – I wouldn’t ever do something because “everyone else is doing so”. Stick to what’s working, iterate intentionally, don’t make big swinging changes and go from there

Google ads account managers jobs are to get you to spend more, be wary.

My ex was one, and we still speak, this was her advice to me when I asked how much to value their opinions. If they make suggestions about campaigns to improve performance those aren’t worthless, but they will encourage you to spend more.

Don’t ever use budgets that Google recommends. Not if it’s automated recommendations or managers.

I don’t know where you live and what your market is, but go with what your clients or your company are willing to spend and take Google recommendations with a huge grain of salt.

In my relatively small market of a Nordic country, I’m running Search campaigns from 8-15 € per day. Some bigger campaigns that cover several countries in middle Europe 60 € a day.

Depends on your campaign, area and competitors. I usually start a campaign off at €1 per day for the first 5 days to 2 weeks while google learns your position in the market. Then once the campaign has some data I’ll raise the budget.

Is your campaign out of the learning period yet?

I think it depends on your cost per click if raising your budget generates more revenue then you will have more revenue to reinvest. But if budgets are set then you probably want to lower it
