Account suspended – what do I do next?
I had a Google ad account set up when I was in Singapore and registered my business as a Singapore business while targeting the US consumer.
Then I set up another Google ad account (to benefit from ad credits) using another email address. Again, the business address is in Singapore while targeting the US consumer. But I am now in Taiwan and will be living here for the long term. The debit card used is the same as the previous ad account.
My payment profile (ie Google Pay account) then got suspended. I’m guessing it’s either because 1) the same debit card was used for 2 different accounts, or 2) it’s a Singapore business address and debit card I’m using, I’m targeting the US and Google tracked my location as being in Taiwan.
I was prompted for my ID and my bank statements. I provided my Singapore ID (with a Singapore home address), a personal bank statement (with my Singapore home address) and a company bank statement (with a Singapore business address).
The automatic email I received after filling in the form and submitting my details just said they have a large volume of submissions due to COVID and will take longer than usual to respond.
Google has yet to respond after 24 hours.
What should I do next?
Go back to using the previous ad account with its functioning payment profile (even though it shares the same debit card as the suspended one)?
Give up on ever using Google ads?
Would appreciate advice. Thanks!
