Accepting Google’s Suggested Target Wipes Budget Setting

Has anyone else experienced this? If you adjust your target CPA based on Google's simulations it removes your budget cap. Seems super shady given there is no notification this will happen.

That would be borderline behavior…does the change in budget show up in the change history? If so, under what user?

No. Do you mean your Max CPC when using portfolio tPCA bidding? Or do you mean something else?

If the former, perhaps Google is replacing your portfolio strategy with campaign bidding when you accept that change. In that case it would and should wipe out your Max CPC since that feature doesn’t exist for campaign tCPA bidding.
