About the Google Ads problem I’m currently facing

Posted by Emergency_Treat1337 on September 3, 2024 at 2:06 pm

I'm a furniture manufacturer, currently doing foreign trade business. I've placed ads in other countries on Google Ads. Although there are inquiries, most of them are not what I want

Ad 1—This ad is for several target countries

The words in the ad are all related to "factory" and "manufacturer", but among most of the 35 inquiries, only 6 are about wholesale business, and the rest are retail and home use. My target inquiry is to do wholesale business, but now the wholesale type of inquiries are too low. How to increase this proportion? I don't know where to start with this ad now

Ad 2—This ad is for Brazil

The keywords in the ad are also related to "factory" and "manufacturer", but the language used is Portuguese

After promoting for half a month, there were 15 inquiries, all of which were retail or online retail businesses, and none of them had export experience. The inquiries were not what I wanted. How do I optimize?

Both ads are currently using phrase matching

The bidding strategy for ad 1 is max conversation

The bidding strategy for ad 2 is max click

Are your targeted keywords including “wholesale furniture” at a phrase or exact match level? If you target that keyword with broad you’ll get a lot more retail traffic than you want. Is your ad copy being specific about being wholesale only?

I have experience in the furniture industry and I understand your pain. Are you hyper targeting your keywords to specifically **just** wholesale? That doesn’t mean to target keywords that are somewhat similar but focus on different versions of the same word (often times phrase match will get this) or long tail KWs.

Are you building your negative keyword list from the conversions that are getting you unwanted retail and online businesses? Once you build your list and refine your keywords, you should see more people come form the target market you want.
