GuestMarch 4, 2020 at 5:28 pmInstagram for sure but i’ve seen a lot of tweets of people sharing 4 images that sum up their art style that ended up going viral. It never hurts to promote your art on several platforms, especially when their audiences typically differ.

GuestMarch 4, 2020 at 8:14 pmIf you’re trying to step away from Instagram and Facebook try checking out Artstation and Behance 🙂 Pinterest is also great for impressions and – although the display isn’t the best for art – there are a number of art hashtags and ‘events’ on Twitter which are good for discoverability.

GuestMarch 4, 2020 at 9:07 pmI have a Facebook page as artist, but it’s few years it’s useless…Instagram is the best for now.

GuestMarch 4, 2020 at 10:13 pmI think reddit is the best because there are so many subreddits where you can promote your art and personally I think it’s better if you are a little insecure about exposing your art(not saying that you are).

GuestMarch 6, 2020 at 6:06 amDepends on the type of art. IG, DevianArt, pixiv, Behance, …

Also try Gloovi if your art is interactive. It’s quite good.

GuestMarch 6, 2020 at 7:22 pmI have the same question. It used to be Instagram (Behance within the profession). But the way Instagram is going, something new will have to come up.
I haven’t been all that consistent posting in Instagram, it went through stages, but I had a very good engagement, likes, comments and, most importantly I was able to establish connections. I got a few jobs from Instagram, from art directors that saw my work. And interest.
Now, I post something and no one sees it. It just doesn‘t go anywhere. What is the point of people following you if they NEVER get to see your stuff? If I try engage more, liking and commenting, Instagrams blocks me and I cannot do anything for days.
There use to be hype around certain events or moments, where we would all be looking at stuff within a community and commenting. Doesn’t happen anymore. Last fashion week has been dead. It is no fun anymore to spend time in the app. What is the point of all this?
I used to think Instagram was a great resource for artists. Now I am waiting for the next new thing to come up.
