I work in social media for a college and I am semi-new to the role. My manager has asked me to join any and all Facebook groups that I can find for our current students. However, I would need to join with me personal account since pages cannot join groups.

I am very uncomfortable with this. Does this sound like a wise strategy? Should I create a fake profile to do this?

Why are they asking you to do this?

I work in the field and I have plenty of fake accounts. I do this too. It sucks.

Create a dummy account, it’s technically against the terms of service, but who cares?

Pages can join groups, depending upon the admin’s settings.
