We need more context as to what exactly you’re doing. Strategy, content type, etc

Your engagement rates will plummet. Your reach will as a result go down. You will have to work hard to get back the numbers from before.

The algorithm does not only rely on the number of followers, yes it helps. But content and engagement will have a big impact. If they like, engage , comment and share the post. My opinion on this . ????

Literally a waste of money. Engagement will look spammy and inauthentic and eventually the bots they bought will be deleted so they’ll have paid for literally nothing

For me this would be a fireable offence. They hired you to handle their social and advise on tactics and they’ve undermined you. Tanking engagement or account suspension is going to be blamed on you. IMO cut your losses, drop the client and be very clear about why.

Like the others have said already, the reach will plummet ridiculously.

However, if we seek solution, the one thing nobody can deny is that Meta products are all “Pay to Play” platforms.

Your client has messed up, if he realizes that, good! Launch a page like/followers campaign and target your audience. Keep it going for at least 3 months or more.

Once the page picks up desired engagement rate, you can safely stop spending for followers.

Lol @ them. Buying followers was so 2012.

I don’t know why they LOVE buying followers and increasing their follower count in any way. The number of followers is no longer as important on Instagram. Engagement and reach hold greater significance than the follower count.

From experience your page reach, views and engagement will reduce. And you will get inorganic engagements from bots and the rest. Unless you use Paid ads and all. But if you want to grow organically that’s going to be difficult

This could also affect the business in the future in regard to running ads, especially in making custom audiences.

No engagement. That technique is old.

Purchased followers may not be real people. Fake reviews from those people are something for competitors to exploit. Owner needs to do real marketing. Nothing changes for you, unless your personal reputation is on the line.
