Facebook has been treating us well recently.

    Here’s a screenshot from our Google Analytics : [https://imgur.com/a/kpjsv61](https://imgur.com/a/kpjsv61)

However, I’ve noticed an INCREDIBLY HIGH % of Facebook referrals being Mobile — which I find a bit unbelievable .

    **Questions:**

Is this the case for your Analytics as well?

Is there some known issue where FB traffic is mis-attributed?

**The reason I ask is because:**

    1. I want to remove the FB Like button from our desktop pages (our mobile pages have never had it!) and just want to make sure it wont affect FB traffic in some roundabout way. (The like buttons rarely ever get used on the site)
    2. 70-80% of our site traffic is Mobile. 96% from facebook seems crazy… but maybe I’m also a bit old-school in my thinking.

It’s high, but possible. Who uses Facebook on desktop anymore? Social Media Managers and advertisers mostly.

So yes I’d say it’s reliable. You can always check on your Facebook page insights or campaigns data how many users visit you from desktop just to be sure.

For a spike lot that it could be entirely due to a single post that was seeing high engagement
