2 Primary conversions actions – Google Ads

    Hello,

if I would to track outbound clicks and purchases, both being primary goal in my campaign, would that be better than using a single one (outbound clicks OR purchases)? Considering Google Ads requires around 20 conversions a day to be able to make something out of your ad, that is quite a bit for what I am running. It would require me to have a big big daily budget, which is a no go right now for me. So either I go with outbound clicks objective or both together (purchases and outbound clicks) to be able to reach 20 conversions a day. Which process would be better in this case?

Hopefully I have explained this well enough.

Usually it’s enough to have 30-60 conversions in the last 30 days for Google to be able to get an idea on who your customers are. I wouldn’t recommend using both goals, as purchases (I assume) are much more valuable for you. As you are going to have more clicks than purchases, you don’t want the algorithm to mostly optimize for those.

If you have less than 30-60 purchases a month, use as a primary goal something like “add-to-cart” or “started checkout” type events.
