X – Twitter has become garbage

No matter who you follow, what you like, or which posts you interact with, you’ll eventually end up seeing nothing but negativity. Everyone — from political figures to ordinary individuals — seems desperate to prove themselves right, often stooping to personal attacks just to gain views.I don’t think I’ve ever seen such a low level of discourse on any other platform. In some cases, Facebook might come close, but X has truly taken the crown for toxicity.
Everyone is busy arguing, attacking, and dividing — from religion to politics — all in the name of “freedom of speech.” 🗣️

Interesting. I find that the negativity on Reddit is way worse. On Twitter it’s way less panicky and rage baity. I guess it depends on what niche you use it for though
I avoid politics on both and just do hobbies. But politics almost always ends up making its way everywhere on reddit. Doesn’t matter if it’s about a sports team, gaming, or a grocery store. It turns into leftist slop

people always had complaints, even before musk took over but yeah, it really is a dumpster fire now. all my accounts there are inactive. i’m on bluesky and it’s ok for the moment. i’m sceptical about all social media platforms and their intentions.

All same shit, X just allows everyone to have an opinion but reddit only let’s left abcdefgqd people say something and anything they disagree with is wrong and banned.
X seems like arguing because everyone is allowed to have and express their opinion unlike reddit, blue sky etc. -
Why do people like to torture themselves? Maybe they are masochists? Anyway, it is foolishness to want to be on all social media platforms unless you are trying to sell something – even that is questionable. You should be able to tell within a very short period whether to stay on a platform or jog on? It didn’t take me 24hrs to know X is not for me? I didn’t stay long enough to annoy myself or torture myself before I keep on walking. Social media to me is like TV channels, if I don’t link what is on, I tune to the next one – infact, there are TV channels I don’t watch?

The one thing I wonder on that platform as I do use it for videos doom scrolling, is I wonder how these big accounts are getting all these followers and if anybody is actually monetized on the platform or if it’s just a joke. It seems like certain niches do very well on this platform, but other stuff that works on platforms like YouTube does not work on X at all.

Facebook is still worse, I promise you that. Twitter has a lot of negativity, but Facebook has some real shocking evil

Exactly. It feels less like a social platform now and more like a battleground where everyone’s yelling just to be heard.
