The data is sourced from SimilarWeb, which says that ChatGPT went from 203 million average daily visits to 191 million. I spend my days in Claude and Gemini lately, but do visit chatGPT when Gemini gets batty, which it still does on occasion, but overall it’s been incredible.

I hate these stupid reports. Even if we pretended third-party web analytics are anywhere close to reality, they don’t take into account the ChatGPT app or the half-dozen Google apps with integrated Gemini.
Also, correlation does not equal causation. Even the article itself says “Some of that may be due to Thanksgiving,” which is probably true with how much ChatGPT gets used for school and work tasks.

That doesn’t surprise me.
Chatgpt 5.1 has been absolute trash for me. Riddled with glitches and low quality outputs. It no longer follows basic instructions like removing em dashes either.

ChatGPT 5.x trashed so many of my projects. Suddenly it was restricted and couldn’t perform tasks to the same level as before. I had been a paying user since day 1 and just finally cancelled.
