Would you outsource Landing Pages design?

Posted by seohelper on April 8, 2021 at 7:26 am

    Hey guys,

I was thinking how can i bring some value with my current skillset and get into the PPC world; coming from web design/development (and seo) I can create pretty good conversion oriented landing pages, supported by performance, optimization, user behaviour analysis, ux.

Curious to know the market thoughts on this (and if would make sense repackage my skills into a specific offer).

I was thinking about it as a one monthly fee that covers everything, *n* landing pages, different landing pages per project for A/B testing, LP segmentation, ongoing analysis and optimization.

    * Would you outsource your LP design & optimization?
    * Have you ever do that?
    * What pain points / worries do you see in this?

P.s.: i think it’s more a question for ppc freelancers or small agencies, because big agencies would probably have already people in-house, but everyone is welcome to share, thanks!

Outsourcing this is fine but keep in mind that you probably need two separate skillsets. First, you need a designer that’s a UX expert. Second, you need somebody to do the back-end integration, conversion tracking, etc. You also should consider working with a robust tool such as Instapage or Unbounce… those have monthly fees too.

It can be tricky to sell landing page services. Very small businesses don’t see the value in paying for this… it doesn’t make sense but it’s true. Larger businesses usually bring landing page management in-house. There are some in-between businesses that can use the service but pitching is still a challenge if you’re charging separately for it.

This has never been a big moneymaker for us, it’s more about delivering better results for the client.
