Would you have any advice for someone starting at 0 followers on all platforms?
Posted by Swordfish353535 on November 27, 2025 at 3:27 amLong story short, I only have a personal account on social medias. I don't even really use it but I love making little films and music creation too. I sell beats online and get paid a nice little side hustle amount for it.
Anyways, I'm thinking to make a new social media "name/brand" and just start uploading fun videos around what I do in that realm. The niche I guess.
My thoughts only real thought on it is, consistency. Post daily ideally.
I'm just wondering if anyone has advice to get things moving at the beginning?

GuestNovember 27, 2025 at 6:34 amOne thing that helped me early on was giving posts a small push so they didn’t die at zero. I tried a few panels and honestly Marketerum felt more stable than most, especially for testing content without going aggressive. I still focused on consistency first, the boost just helped things get noticed.

GuestNovember 27, 2025 at 9:11 amstarting from 0 isn’t the hard part, posting random stuff is. daily posting won’t help if the ideas aren’t built around what people actually stop for.
what i’d do: don’t stress about branding at first, just pick one angle in your niche (beats, production tips, behind-the-scenes, POV making a track, etc.) and start testing hooks until you find 1 format that actually brings followers. then repeat that instead of trying everything.
also study 3–5 creators who make the kind of content you want to make and copy the patterns they use (hook style, pacing, text, topics). you can do that manually or with an account/competitor analysis tool (e.g. creafico) if you want a faster system.
keep it simple and keep testing. 🙂
Hope this helps !!

GuestNovember 27, 2025 at 10:01 amPrioritize consistency and strong content strategy. Engage actively with commenters and promote your page through new existing music content this will attract followers. Don’t go for buying followers instead search for ways. I tried a few tools and used Recentfollow that let me see who my IG followers were it helped me in clearing out bots and helped me in making content based on interests on my audience. And also consider the types of videos you wish to start with bts shots, short films and tutorials..

GuestNovember 27, 2025 at 11:06 amStarting from zero is rough but kinda fun too
Biggest thing is testing different angles fast instead of locking yourself into one style
Daily posts help but only if you watch how people react and adjust quick
When I started fresh I checked my profile through [rupa](https://rupa.pro/?utm_source=reddit.com) just to see what topics my small crowd vibed with and it saved me from posting random stuff
Since you make beats and film bits you can mix behind the scenes, short demos, mini tutorials and your personal vibe until something sticks
Once one angle hits even a little you double down on that for a bit -

GuestNovember 27, 2025 at 11:47 amConsistency helps, but storytelling matters more. Show the process behind your beats or mini films. People love seeing how things are made. Starting from 0 is normal, but if your content feels personal and intentional, growth follows.

GuestNovember 27, 2025 at 12:59 pmNice that you already sell beats, starting from zero is mostly about showing up enough times for people to notice. Consistency helps, but focus on one or two platforms like tt or yt shorts and a repeatable content format. i used socialplug once to kickstart early views so i could test thumbnails and hooks, it felt useful but not magic , do you have a content plan for 30 days or are you still figuring your brand voice?

GuestNovember 27, 2025 at 1:17 pmStarting from zero is normal — everyone does. The key is consistency, but also direction. Pick a niche you enjoy (like your films and beats), post regularly, and don’t overthink early numbers.
