  • Will Google ever go after mega sites that thrive on fake or pay-to-play reviews?

Take HealthGrades for example – it gets millions of visits each month, but its reputation is terrible. Many say it actually makes finding a good doctor harder.

Since rankings there can be bought, shady doctors often rise to the top.

Do you think Google will ever start penalizing sites like that?

If people consistently use it and link to it, Google is not going to pick winners and losers unless their behavior amounts to spam. Their definition of spam keeps expanding, but unfortunately Google will not police the whole internet.

Unlikely. The only time I’ve ever seen sites personally attacked by Google was back when medic hit and sites like dr axe, mercola all got nuked for promoting alternatives to pharmaceuticals.

Nope, never. They like picking on the smaller guys-its easier and the small guys cant do shit back. Same like Forbes parasite SEO-they can write about diapers and it will still rank.

No, they will always bully the smaller ones… That’s the game.
