Why are people leaving X?

Twitter was good when it was launched. I used to have meaningful conversations with people around the globe. But then the politicians and mass media arrived and ruined it. I don’t use it anymore. When I was using it, I was using it for hours every day. Not anymore. It’s just hate all over the platform.

Yeah I kinda get why many are leaving. The platform’s energy isn’t the same anymore, too much noise, less real connection. Some people are shifting to Bluesky for a calmer and more open space.

Because it’s dead. Musk made it much worse than it ever was before. Nobody needs it anymore.

It’s toxic imo. I go there to get news but I can’t stay very long bc it depresses me. I don’t like feeling depressed so I go to other platforms.

The “For You” page is pretty chaotic.
The majority of the users who are leaving are liberal/left leaning.
The CEO has a thing for throwing shade at a lot of liberal/left leaning ideologies.

I decided to walk away when Elon Musk took the reins. The level of racism that’s tolerated there has truly left a bad taste in my mouth.

Facebook and Instagram is like that too. Which is why I switched to tiktok and Reddit. The obsession with religion and race is crazy, plus all the crazy conspiracy.
