Why are my Tiktok’s suddenly doing so bad?
Posted by on January 25, 2026 at 6:25 amI started my TikTok about 3.5 weeks ago and hit 10k followers about half a week ago. I’ve been growing a lot, and while not every video did exceptionally well, about every 4-7 days, I’d have a video do about 5-10x better than my normal videos, and then have a decent bump in viewer count to my normal videos. However, after another really good video, I took a 1 day break and went back to posting, but every video has done very badly compared to most of my recent content, and I’m really confused why it’s doing this. Is it just algorithm changes or is there another reason?

It’s the algorithm working as designed. Videos are new accounts are given extra boost to get you hooked in and to encourage you to create more. After a few weeks they get treated like normal and then you see your actual interest and reach. Still, it sounds like you’re doing pretty well to get 10k followers from your first few, so just keep it up through this inevitable dip you’re experiencing.
