I’ve worked in social since it first launched and have for the most part thought the various platforms are frustrating but functional.

That was until recently; does anyone find that they’re super slow and buggy?

I have a 2019 MacBook Pro for work and it struggles to build campaigns and forget about having a platform open when you’re on a video call.

Does anyone else find the same?

Err.. 2018 macbook pro and I don’t have any issues even when on video calls. EXCEPT Facebook, when I’m trying to load a client’s actual page to make or edit a post. That trash loads slower than windows 95

Algorithms are what has ruined the platforms. Social was more fun and engaging before them. Oh, sorry, you’re talking about speed and stability…

Almost all of the platforms are initially built for users on mobile, not for agencies or marketers to use mass marketing tools on desktop. Except for Facebook which started building for business owners a little while ago, arguably stopped building for consumers and now nobody under 30 uses it.

Idk, conspiracymeow.com might be okay once more people add to the site forums eventually…

Everything is clogged these days with dreck. 10 years ago, it was about connecting and “socializing”, just virtually, now it’s about either making a point or deflating one.

It seems the trend is to build then keep improving the platform but it takes so much time to improve that they’ve updated again that affects the current work. There is definitely a huge backlog.

And even if mobile comes first for all these platforms, they forget that ads are where they get the $$$ from. Ironic that they don’t spend time improving the experience for marketers.

Don’t even get me started… they’re all bloat ware, especially Facebook. Have you ever tried clearing notifications for a business page?? So frustrating and slow!
