Who are the most trusted SEO voices right now?
Posted by bumblebrunch on March 22, 2026 at 2:34 pmI’m an old-school SEO, but I’ve been out of the game for a few years.
Looking to get back up to speed from people actually on the front lines right now. Not fake gurus, not beginner stuff.
Who do you trust and recommend following?

GuestMarch 22, 2026 at 3:55 pmThere are no SEO secrets that one person knows and others don’t. All you need to know is what ranking factors hold more weight then others so you prioritize those over potential time sinks that don’t move the needle much. You can find great articles online from well known websites that did the research on those top ranking factors, so just focus on those. At the end of the day it often comes down to authority / trust for why certain websites / pages rank high, and that’s where the battle is won or lost.

GuestMarch 22, 2026 at 6:59 pmNone. They mostly only parrot what they find online. Even Google PR people like John M barely know how it works.
SEO experts are usually making bank on SEO services lol, and they’re engineers, computer scientists, data scientists, etc.
I worked with some big brands that before they found me, they contacted most of the known names out there to be told they don’t actually provide SEO services lol.
I trust data scientists, engineers, and SEO by the sea. Patents and the actual software only.

GuestMarch 22, 2026 at 11:12 pmAre you into Organic SEO or Local SEO?
Do you do WordPress?
If you create content NavBoost likes, you are cognizant of CTR, and work on acquiring quality backlinks, you will be a master ranker in 2026.

GuestMarch 23, 2026 at 12:26 amSeo is basically the same as it was a few years ago.
1) avoid penalties
2) write relevant content
3) be relevant
4) have authority
Authority comes from back links.
To get back links:
1) do nothing and wait
2) buy then (careful)
3) guest post or link outreach
4) build your own
If you want to do #4 we have multiple free podcasts that teach you step by step how to
Content quality isn’t a ranking factor.
Basically seo is exactly the same as it was, but it’s more difficult to get good back links.
Now you’re up to speed. Welcome back.
