  • Which platform should I use as a beginner game coach?

    Hi everyone,

Im Rezen and I coach players at Valorant.

I use Twitter as my main platform right now but it seems like it’s not the best choice. I don’t get any clicks or orders from it.

Do you have any idea which platform fits best for a game coach?

    I appreciate every opinion!

    1. Build credibility. Best method is a YouTube channel with tones of “best moments”, possibly twitch too if you have the time and patience to build a following

    2. Discord should be your main HQ.

    3. Twitter is a great tool. But shouldn’t be your main. Its a method to get people to your HQ.

    4. Be present on other social media, FB, Instagram, TikTok. Again, all pointing to you HQ (aka Discord)

So basically have everything direct people to your discord, with the knowledge that you are a coach. Then use it as a way to promote your coaching.

I think there are also websites dedicated to that type of service which you can use alongside fiverr.

Best way to go about is to Build up your Twitch or YouTube. Twitch if you have the time to stream, otherwise, upload instructional videos on YouTube. Build up your other social media around the channel, first focus on growth, then focus on the sales. Open your own Discord as well as join other servers to market your courses/live sessions.

Sadly, your question cannot be effectively answered based upon what you posted.

How many posts do you have so far? How many followers? What is your brand? Who is your target audience? What is your ultimate goal– a large following or a paying following? What is your plan–and this is critical–for when Valorant dies?

If you want to just reach people, Tik Tok, YouTube, and a podcast. Maybe I’d throw in Reddit. If you want to reach PAYING customers, then the answer shifts a little bit and we add in SkillShare, Patreon, and your OWN webpage.

You need to flesh out WHAT you want to achieve, and WHO your target audience is and HOW to effectively brand your content to sell your product to your target market.

Oh, and one other thing–asking which platform–singular–you should use is self-defeating. In the world of Social Media today, you need to stay on top of ALL the platforms, or have a management team that does if you want to make the shift from hobbyist to pro.

I mean, colleges are offering degrees in Social Media for a reason, and it is not just to make money with toss-off degrees.
