Which approach is more profitable long term?
I’m currently thinking about starting (or scaling) a social media project and I’m trying to be strategic about monetization from the beginning.
What do you think is more profitable long term?
1) Problem-based approach:
Identify a specific painful problem (e.g. anxiety, overthinking, fitness struggles, etc.), build content around solving it, and eventually sell a transformation (course, coaching, program, digital products).
2) Broad creator approach:
Focus on getting lots of views and building a big audience first (mass appeal content), then monetize through brand deals, affiliate links, physical products, etc.
In other words:
High-ticket transformation vs. large audience + volume monetization.
From your experience, which model scales better and is more realistic in 2026?
Curious to hear your thoughts.
