  • when should you start considering paid social?

i have little to no experience with paid social as the social media accounts i create to grow and foster community i do organically. i landed an internship recently at a small business that wants to implement paid social as a way to increase brand awareness and in hopes of it paying off with increase of sales. anything i should know, consider, and educate myself on when it comes to promos and such? is there a strategic way to go about it instead of simply throwing $5, $10, or more at facebook and instagram for hopes of x amount of viewers?

There’s definitely a strategic way to go about it. Throwing anything less than $50 at a Facebook ad is just wasting your time and money. Facebook ads like a lot of money, and so does Instagram. And if you have the correct goals in mind and good ad copy, there are some great conversion rates to be found.

I personally work with small businesses as their strategic marketing partner and I’ve found there are lot of ways to optimize FB and IG for solid organic growth and growing engaged followers at that. So I would say, do some serious research before throwing cash at ads.
