  • What’s the fastest website fix you’ve seen actually move the needle?

Not talking long-term strategy — talking quick wins.

What’s the fastest technical fix you’ve seen actually improve performance?

    robots.txt
    indexing issues
    heading structure
    canonical problems

Genuinely curious what others have seen move the needle fast.

None of these? Why would a robots.txt accelerate your growth?

You need to focus on PageRank – which is fundamental to SEO (Google SEO Starter Guide)

Removing a noindex has led to hundreds of thousands of visits in one day!

I took on a new client where their site wasn’t ranking for anything.

I removed the Disallow: / from their robots.txt and the noindex tag on their pages. The last agency/dev company pushed those to production and no one cared to check for it

For AI search, I made review modal component, it just aggregates reviews from many places and links out to them. I placed it as the 2nd node in the HTML.

This change alone made one of the clients I work with show up 1# in AI search for related terms.

Only caveat is you have to have good reviews and review volume

Not a fix, but probably one of my fastest, quickest and money’est SEO wins came from publishing a super-competitive affiliate post on a DR 93 site that ranked instantly in less than an hour.

Submitting a sitemap and updating everything with schema markup worked a treat
