GuestJanuary 13, 2026 at 7:37 amMore authenticity, less performative stuff. Right now everything is optimized for engagement and attention not actual connection. If platforms made it easier (and more rewarding) for people to have real conversations instead of flexing, chasing aesthetics, or farming likes, social media would instantly feel less toxic and way more useful.

GuestJanuary 13, 2026 at 9:08 amsocial media would be way less stressful if we all stopped pretending we enjoy posting on five platforms. pick one. post. log off. repeat. my stress level dropped and my screen time somehow went up anyway

GuestJanuary 13, 2026 at 9:17 amRemoving likes and stories most likely.
Feel like stories made everyone feel like they’re doing nothing with their life while someone you know is out having the best time.
If social media could be taken back to that 2010/11 era, where it was a bit more simplified, I think it would be more enjoyable.

GuestJanuary 13, 2026 at 9:30 amI just want everyone to be nice to each other. As social media can sometimes be an extremely miserable place for some people and I just think if we were just nicer to people instead of being extremely negative it would make not only social media but also the world a better place as a whole.

GuestJanuary 13, 2026 at 10:05 amit`s the human`s, not the app`s fault. humans aren`t perfect and wired for competition of scarce resources. Imo, you can delete the app and we`ll find another way to be miserable with each other. *sorry I`m not a marketer, i gave an unsolicited opinion again, as everybody on the internet does! humans eh!!

Good luck.

GuestJanuary 13, 2026 at 12:29 pmGive me a real “turn off personalization” toggle and a clean chronological feed. Also, add a clear “why am I seeing this” button on every post.

Taking away engagement points so people don’t have to “type sizzle for the recipe”
I’m just gonna say it – eliminate monetization – it would quickly put an end to rage bait
