Since the start of the year, we’ve had the following happen with Facebook:

    – View tags removed with no warning.
    – account manager left with no handover.
    – took me 6 weeks to find out that we were no longer classed as a partner and would not be getting a new account manager.
    – all of a sudden we have an ad account limit meaning we’re having to recycle old accounts.
    – the platform itself has become incredibly slow and stopped working for anyone on my team with a laptop older than 2016.
    – multiple people getting locked out of accounts with no way to resolve them.

We spend around £1.5-£2m a year on Facebook but I’m fed up of how hard work everything with them is, especially when other channels are constantly reaching out to get involved.

Is anyone else having these issues?

I’ve never been in charge of a paid account but manage organic accounts for some huge pages and recently spent a month locked out of ALL of them because FB couldn’t verify my location. I chased every day and made absolutely no progress – infuriating barely begins to describe it.

Add to that sagging organic reach and engagement and apart from the obvious benefit of being able to pay a relatively small amount to reach a very large audience with very specific interests I’m struggling to see what benefits FB brings to organic-only channels.

    Change my mind!

Falsebook is a mess, most everyone I know has been banned, account lost, or hacked

I spent like 15 minutes trying to change the hours of operation for my business yesterday. Which itself is easy but it was not saving the new times, or I’d type the times in and at the end it would randomly just changed the business to “permanently closed”. Or it wouldn’t let me type certain times. Just weird amateur UI errors for 10 mins straight. Also it is listing my page owner as some random deleted account, when I’m the one who created it and I’m the only admin.

The UI for FB/Google is just so weirdly bad. Unless you are on it very frequently, it’s just so unintuitive and sloppy. And their own support sites often contain outdated info.
