What do you do with negative comments?
Posted by on December 30, 2025 at 9:52 pmMy niche is politics, so I get comments about my looks from those who want to get a rise out of me. Is it best to leave the comments up or should I just delete them?

They come with the “political territory” so you will need to build the skills to deal with it. Maybe try the Gavin Newsom approach.

remember you are not responding only to the people trying to get a rise out of you, you are responding to anyone who may be reading.
sometimes people tell you the things that got a rise out of them, and now, they want to know what you think about the things they heard.

If it’s petty comments (about your look etc) I would delete them. It is not professional from their side at all to send you this, therefore there is no merit in answering them
